Poomsae Coach Course for Blackbelts 22 March 2009

The Poomsae Coach Course will be conducted on Sundary 22 March 2009 to qualify black belts as poomsae coaches and to provide them the passport to become a full-fledged national poomsae referee.

Successful participants will be issued with the Poomsae Coach (Level 1) Certificate if they have a Level 1 NCAP or Taekwondo Coaching qualification. However, for successful participants without the coaching qualification, a Level 1P certificate will be awarded. They will be entitled to be promoted to Level 1 on getting the relevant coaching qualification.

The details of the course are as follows.

Time              :           2.00pm to 8.00pm

Place            :           National Training Centre (NTC)

Dress Code   :           ‘Dobok’

Certification   :           Poomsae Coach Certificate (Level 1 or 1P)

Fee              :           $50

Closing Date :           Friday 13 March 2009

For the course, there are two components. For the theory component, the participants will learn about the principles of movements and the rules of poomsae competition relevant to poomsae coaches. For the practical session, the participants will taught the finer points of poomsae performance from Introductory Taegeuk to Poomsae Koryo.

A practical and theory tests will be conducted at the end of the course.
