Ching Teck Loses Battle for His Life

Tan Ching Teck, a senior taekwondo member, examiner and international referee, fought hard for his life after he met with a road accident two weeks ago. He lost it on 1 July 2008.

Ching Teck had played a role in the development of taekwondo in Singapore and also the progress of the Singapore Taekwondo Federation. As an examiner and international referee, he was known for his firmness and fairness. While the taekwondo fraternity had lost a responsible official and good friend, Ching Teck’s students had lost an outstanding instructor.

We, at the Federation, send our condolences to his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with them in their terribly difficult time. We want the family to know that they are not alone in their sadness and grief.

Taekwondo members and friends of Ching Teck are urged to help the family cope with the medical and funeral expenses. Contributions to the family can be made through the Federation.

The wake is at Blk 833, Tampines Street 83. We understand that the cortege will leave the block on Saturday afternoon.
